Friend: “A person whom one knows and with whom one has a bond of mutual affection, typically exclusive of relationships or family relations.”

Connection: “A relationship in which a person, thing, or idea is linked or associated with something else.”

Since launching my first website in 2008, I’ve made and lost a lot of friends. These people helped me with a variety of things – motivation, ideas and support – but they have also led me to a whole new outlook on life. However, I have always believed that since leaving primary education, some 7 years before this post was published, I don’t have friends but “connections”.

Although I don’t call everyone a friend or “best friend” like I did 7 years ago, I still do have a small group of friends who will sadly be replaced as everyone moves on in life. As I move on into new depths such as jobs and explore events and new cities, I will have new friends but this time around I will call them “connections”.

When running a business or your personal life, motivation is key to completing tasks and remembering things. As I currently focus on two prime things – school and my blog – I need to make sure that I’m on track with completing school work whilst checking up on anything I need to do on my blog.

Prior to using Clear on my iPhone, I used an application called Things, which was available on both the iPhone & for the Mac. However, since selling my Mac in 2011, I found I had no clear synchronisation between my two most important devices. I then decided to ditch the Things app on my iPhone and run my life entirely on my iPhone using Notes. Bad idea. I continued this disorganised fashion up until the launch of Clear.
